The Ladies Auxiliary of South Burnaby Branch #83 has been in existence since June of 1927. One of the founding members of the L.A. was the mother of our Secretary/Treasurer, Mrs. Isobel Lutz. Mrs. Lutz has been a member of the L.A. for over 60 years. Our Past President, Mrs. Merilyn Smith has been a member for over 40 years.

Our current executive are Mrs. Dianne Barnes (President), Mrs. Isobel Lutz (Secretary/Treasurer) and Mrs. Merilyn Smith (Past President). We currently have 15 members in the L.A. and are always looking for new members.

We would like to raise money in the near future to make donations to the Union Gospel Mission, Simon Fraser Society for Battered Women, the Salvation Army for Battered Women and Canuck Place for those dear, precious children. We would also love to have suggestions on how to raise money to make donations to the above organizations. If anyone has any suggestions, they can email me at alndi@shaw.ca.

We hold our meetings on the 2nd Sunday of every month, except July and August. Our meetings start at 2:00 p.m. The next meeting will be held on September 11, 2011.
